Image Collections Management

The Cinemage System can be used to manage image collections. In these applications, a catalogue is created that references images in an image archive. When the catalogue is searched, a light table of thumbnail images is first displayed. Clicking on a thumbnail brings up a vignette page, show a larger sample of the image, catalogue information, as well as descriptive image provided.

The system can be used to create a private Digital Gallery for a specific artists's work. The Digital Gallery can be accessed from the artist's web site, through a link to the Cinemage system hosting the image management service. An illustration is the web site at www.anniesprints.com . Go to the web site and hit the THE GALLERY button. You are now in a Cinemage image archive for the works of Annie Wilkinson. Try searching for "dog" to start.

The Cinemage system can also be used to host the works of many contributors. At present Cinemage operates three such services, one for images used in a Prints-On-Demand application, and two for images used in on-line Stock Photography applications. Works can also be licensed for sale through through e-commerce transactions providing royalties to contributors. Please see: www.fineartprints.ca and www.prophotos.ca and www.valuepics.com to review these applications. Following are two images from the ProPhotos collection.
